Ever caught yourself saying something to effect of...

“I keep sabotaging myself.”

“I can’t get outside my cycles of self-sabotage.”

“My subconscious is sabotaging all the changes I want.”

I get it.

But let’s face it….

It’s not sabotage.

It’s protection.

While I completely understand the rhetoric around subconscious sabotage, I feel called to challenge it. Absolutely, we have this conflict brewing between the subconscious (90%!) and the conscious (10%!) minds and there’s this part (the subconscious) that keeps wreaking havoc, keeps challenging our desires, keeps bringing up blocks, keeps pushing its motives- habits, beliefs, life scripts…

All of that is SO true… but it’s only because we haven’t let it know yet it doesn’t need to protect us anymore. It can relax. It’s ok. It’ll be ok. You will show that part it will be ok. You can. And, yes… You will.

Ahhh… feel it soften?

I do:)

It’s up to us to show this protector we are in charge and will show them the new way of being.

So, yes, I have to admit, I bristle at the word, “sabotage” when it comes to our subconscious motivation (think, 7-year old intentions) to protect us. Would we say to our seven year old child or the seven year old child within us, “YOU ARE SABOTAGING ME!”

I doubt it.

No… but the seven year old in you may say that, though:)

So…

Let’s finally rewrite the script. Let’s embody the higher self identity that will embrace the child within and reprogram the subconscious protections keeping us stuck. Let’s feel empowered in the face of all that is uncertain and unknown because we have harnessed this ability to work with, and not against, the “sabotaging” force.

You’ve created an intricate fortress of protection. What a gift that has been and served.

Now, you get to let that fortress know it can loosen… that it’s safe. You made it safe. You’ll show it how safe it is to be

YOU.

If you are feeling this, that is beautiful. Your subconscious is bringing to your conscious awareness the importance of shifting from this cycling of protection and frustration. Learn to work with the subconscious, not against it.
